This is something that I'm going to start doing. Reviewing other DJ's on BlogTV and Stickam. Some of the reviews may be good, some may be bad. But just know it's my honest opinion about the DJ's and what I experienced while watching their show.
DJ Melodic
I was turned to his show by a fellow listener of my show and was asked to check him out. I went to his page and he was getting ready to go live. I watched some of his recorded videos and my ears needed therapy afterwords. Now, I don't like saying this about other DJ's because this makes me look like I have a "big head" which I don't. But for fans of DJ Melodic please note that what I'm about to say is my honest opinion and it should be treated as just an opinion.
When I go to DJ's shows, I expect to hear good music. When I went to DJ Melodic's show, while he welcomed me into the chatroom (which is a good quality for DJ's interact with your audience), the music that he played made me want to move to New York, buy a suit, and become a member of a rap mob.
The sounds that I heard coming from there basically was not music but total crap. If you want to become a DJ in today's world, you need to be able to distinguish good music from bad music and this is definitely bad music.
He says he manages local talent in the Atlanta area. Good for him. So do thousands of other people in the Atlanta area. Basically anyone can go to Atlanta and get managed. Sadly, people do not look for good talent anymore. They just look for people who look good so they can put their picture on a poster and make a quick buck.
So, in conclusion, sorry DJ Melodic but you get a Rockin WAVES 11294 Review Score of 4 out of 10. Basically because while you interact with your audience you still need to learn what good music is.
Well, that does it for the first DJ review, if you have a DJ that you would like me to review, please post a comment on this containing their name and what site I can listen to them on as well as showtimes and I will get on a review as soon as possible. Until next time, I'm Chris Rogers. Hope you have a rockin day!
Keep on Rockin!
Chris
